Continuing with Guild’s powerful Jumbo body size, Guild is proud to offer two new baritones, the BT240E and BT-258E. With a twenty-seven-inch scale length, these baritones are tuned B-to-b, five steps lower than a standard guitar.
Josh Chapman, Guild’s Director of Product Design, was clear about the goal for these models. “Designing these guitars, we took advantage of Guild’s Jumbo body size and arched back to create an absolute monster of a baritone.
The larger air volume of the Jumbo body helps produce those low frequencies that are so fundamental to the baritone guitar, and the arched back helps to really project the notes. With the built-in Fishman GT-1 pickup, these baritones can hold their own both electrified or unplugged.”
