All-New Guild Acoustic Design Series Introduced

Guild is proud to announce the debut of its all-new GAD series (Guild Acoustic Design) guitars, which introduces new model types and continues a tradition of acoustic excellence by offering the latest in modern, performance-driven features and exceptional value.

GAD series guitars feature all-solid tonewoods, dovetail neck joint construction and slim satin-finish necks for smooth feel and effortless playability. The series consists of 19 guitars in six- and 12-string dreadnought, six- and 12-string jumbo (including a new cutaway jumbo), orchestra (including a new cutaway model), concert and classical models. Several of these include versions with Fishman® electronics.

The D-125 dreadnought and its 12-string counterpart, the D-125-12, feature all-mahogany construction with a slim satin-finish mahogany neck; rosewood fingerboard, bridge and head cap; and mother-of-pearl rosette and inlays. Both produce a lush, balanced sound with clear, tight bass and warm, airy highs.

The D-140 dreadnought and its cutaway electric counterpart, the D-140CE, feature a spruce top with a mahogany back and sides; the D-150 dreadnought, also available in left-handed (D-150L) and cutaway electric (D-150CE) versions, features a spruce top with an Indian rosewood back and sides. All feature ivoroid binding, mother-of-pearl rosette and inlays, rosewood fingerboard and bridge; electronics-equipped models (D-140CE and D-150CE) feature the Fishman® Sonitone™ pickup system.

The F-150R jumbo is inspired by the classic jumbo guitars Guild is long famous for; a full-bodied acoustic masterpiece with a solid spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides that deliver rich, powerful sound and exceptional volume. Other features include a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, ivoroid body and neck binding, and mother-of-pearl block inlays. Its F-150RCE version features a Venetian cutaway and Fishman® pickup system. Its 12-string counterpart is the F-1512 (and electronics-equipped F-1512E) jumbo, also with a solid spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides

The F-130 orchestra model resonates with a strong, balanced and articulate voice, with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, ivoroid binding and mother-of-pearl rosette and inlays. It’s also available in a cutaway version with the Fishman® Sonitone™ pickup system (F-130CE). A model with rosewood back and sides is available in standard (F-130R) and cutaway electric (F-130RCE) versions.

Don’t be fooled by the M-120 concert model’s diminutive size; it boasts distinctive presence and excellent projection. Features include all-mahogany construction, 24 ¾” scale length, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and mother-of-pearl rosette and inlays. Also available in an electronics-equipped model (M-120E) with the Fishman® Sonitone™ pickup system.

Two classical guitars round out the lineup. The GC-2 is a traditional model with a solid cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides that produce warm and articulate tone with great balance and dynamic range. Other features include a satin-finish mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, rosewood binding and bridge, and wood mosaic rosette. The GN-5 is designed specifically for live performance and has identical features, along with a Venetian cutaway and Fishman® Sonitone™ pickup system.
