Polara Body Shape & Pickups
Polara Night Edition guitars feature stylish offset solid mahogany bodies with double cutaways for easy access to higher frets, while their vintage Soft U-Shape mahogany set necks and familiar 24.75" scale length ensure both playing comfort and structural stability. Polara Night Edition Tungsten guitars employ a single uncovered high-output HB-2+ humbucking pickup with Alnico V magnets in the bridge position and a single Volume control to streamline the connection between your strings and your amplifier—making them lean, mean, ready-to-rock machines that are especially suitable for heavier styles of music.
Night Edition Features & Aesthetics
Guild Night Edition guitars are distinguished by their vibey “blacked-out” aesthetic. The Polara Night Edition Tungsten guitar’s black finish is complemented by its ebony fingerboard, black pickguard, black hardware, uncovered black pickups, black metal domed knobs, black composite nut, black truss rod cover, and dark metal headstock. Whether your music dwells in the darker realms, or you simply prefer all-black guitars—the Polara Night Edition Tungsten delivers the darkness.
1. Bridge – Hum Canceling - This position has the most “edge” or “bite”. Overwound for a big, powerful tone without sounding too dark, a great tool to push an amp into singing distortion. Perfect for solos or in your face rhythm parts, the HB-2+ humbucker possesses a bold, rich tone that is equally capable in any musical style.
2. Bridge + Neck – Hum Canceling – This position combines the tonalities of the neck and bridge humbuckers. Thick, creamy mids, big, round bass and clear trebles make this a great all-around tone.
3. Neck – Hum Canceling - This position produces a warm, round tone great anything from singing lead lines to clean rhythm lines.
