The crème of the crop for Guild’s Starfire line, the Starfire VI Special has it all—premium materials, top of the line inlays, and an authentic 1960s design that honors the Starfire’s 60 year heritage while giving today’s players some modern performance enhancements. New for 2023, the “Special” trim package was previously only available on Guild’s upscale Manhattan models, and brings aesthetic upgrades in its all new Kingswood Green metallic finish, DeArmond Dynasonic pickups, and premium gold hardware.

Featuring Guild’s iconic double-cutaway Starfire body shape, the Starfire VI is crafted with an all Maple laminate body and solid Spruce center block that delivers classic Guild semi-hollow tones without sacrificing live playability. With their balanced warmth and versatility, the DeArmond Dynasonic pickups capture a players touch and nuance and offer up a wide range boutique quality tones.

Other premium features on the the Starfire VI include Guild’s unique, three-piece Maple/Walnut/Maple neck, a bound Ebony fingerboard inlaid with Mother-of-Pearl and Abalone V-blocks, and real bone nut. Additional features include a pinned Tune-o-Matic bridge with ebony base, 5-ply black and Ivory purfling, bound F-holes and headstock with Mother of Pearl Guild “Peak” and “Chesterfield” inlays, and a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece. All Starfire VI models include a Guild Deluxe hardshell case.
