The Polara Kim Thayil features the “Badmotorfinger” back cover and “King Animal” truss rod cover, emblematic of Soundgarden’s legacy. A bound Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid block inlays, Tune-o-Matic bridge & compensated stopbar tailpiece enhance playability. Crafted to Kim’s preferred specs and measurements, these guitars replicate the essence of Kim’s cherished ’78 S-100, boasting an Old-Growth Honduran Mahogany body and neck, adorned with a Guild 70’s headstock and neck shape. The iconic design features Grover Original Rotomatics® tuners, custom USA Guild HB-1 Humbuckers handwound by Jason Lollar with a phase switch, and signature Soundgarden truss rod cover and back cover, both signed by Kim Thayil. Ships with a White Nitrocellulose gloss finish with gold hardware, accompanied by a custom hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity.
