The Guild Maple Jumbo Legacy:
Maximum resonance and tonal beauty
With their large, rounded bodies, jumbo acoustic guitars have been a Guild specialty ever since the venerable F-50 model debuted in 1954 as the king of the original Guild flat-top line. Since then, Guild has earned and enjoyed a fine legacy of jumbo guitar models prized for their volume, projection, balance, and warmth, and today their sound is richer and more powerful than ever.
Offered as an accessible model below the company’s flagship US production, the F-250E Deluxe carries
Guild’s design formula that has made the company the go to name for Jumbo 6 and 12 string acoustics for over 60 years.
Often referred to as a Guild “Blonde” Jumbo, Guild’s innovative pairing of a no brace, arched back design with Spruce and Maple tonewood combination has defined a sound and feel long considered the standard for a jumbo acoustic. The F-250E keeps this winning formula and includes scalloped Sitka spruce bracing.
F-55E Maple
Available in Blonde and Antique Burst
The ultimate Guild jumbo: the F-55E Maple, featuring a tight-grained solid Sitka spruce top with arched flamed Maple back and Maple sides. Created on the same arch press that’s been a part of Guild manufacturing since 1985, the F-55 Maple provides sharply focused trebles and an articulate mid-range, perfect for a full, centralized, harp-like sound.
Performers have long revered maple for its ability to sing over a crowded room and resist the feedback problems of boomier, bassier tonewoods, and the F-55E Maple does not disappoint.
